Our doctor also suggested gripe water, gerber soothe probiotic drops, and gas drops. It makes me wonder though if the ready to feed versions of the other ones she had suggested would have worked better for us then, idk. The alimentum is hypo allergenic and lactose free. We tried incorporating some of the powder version of formula, doing half and half of ready to feed and powder to see how he would adjust to it, but we found that the powder was causing some gas problems again so had to stay on ready to feed. The ready to feed agreed with our baby and he isn’t having the pain/trapped gas issues he was having on the other formulas at that time. She suggested Similac Alimentum next, and to try ready to feed version first and if the baby took to it then powder should be ok. Our pediatrician suggested it first, then Similac pro sensitive which also didn’t work for our baby.
